Pilato Lake Air Fresheners
The name Lago di Pilato, takes origin from an old legend according to which the cart that was transporting the dead body of Pontius Pilate fell into the dazzling blue waters of this mountain lake.
It is of glacial origin and is not only one of the most spectacular locations in the Apennines, but also the only habitat in the world where the Chirocephalus Marchesonii, a tiny coral red freshwater shrimp lives and swims with its belly turned upwards toward the sky. Beech forests, mysterious caves, gorges and rocky slopes surround this charming corner of the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains, nestled between the majestic Mount Vettore and the Cima del Redentore, in the area of Montemonaco.
Today, Lago di Pilato is also the name of the new home perfume of Profum’Ambiente by Armonia – The essence of wellbeing line dedicated to the territory of the Marches. In fact, the delicate and pleasant watery notes of Lago di Pilato recall the places that unwind amid the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Ambro and the Hermitage of San Leonardo, inhabited according to the legend, by the prophetess Sibilla Cumana and paths cut through by the Fairy Route were travelled by knights and necromancers during the course of centuries. The vibrant and pungent fragrance of Lago di Pilato gives a zesty sensation of mountain freshness that intrigues with its mysterious citrus accents.
